And I see no way out. There are no job opportunities. I’ve lost count of how many resumes I’ve sent. I’ve reached out to everyone I know and exhausted my networks. When will this nightmare of a job market turn around? I’m just an average worker, not looking for anything spectacular—just a regular job. FFS.

Someone once said, remove the word "Teradata" from your resume. Potential employers see it as a warning sign with skills more associated with legacy tech. Get AWS, Azure certs and you'll be in a lot better position
Get cloud certifications from AWS or Google to show you are relevant

I understand. I was dumped after 30’ years with this poor excuse for a techno company and all I can say is keep at it. I was laid off in November and hired by a company in a different industry in December. And I’m happier and more productive than ever.
Look at non-traditional opportunities where your genetic experience can transfer. But get out soon!
