Notice that the share buy-backs have increased before Capital Market Day

Share buy backs are such short term effects. But please notice that there is an up tick in buy back to drive up the share price before capital market day. That's a lot of money for a talking point that is so short termed. I believe it is an attempt to avoid necessary but uncomfortable questions. I how many and who'd we fire to pay for it? Or what did we have to sell to do it?
