I have more faith in Lip-Bu for the experiences of turning Cadence around which is similar to AMD. He also shares similar background as Hock Tan of Avago with success in M&A. Given the current situation of Intel, he needs to make something happen to remake his name among the four established Asian CEOs in the same industry.

AMD is in as much of a CPU downturn as Intel, but they do more than that so not tanking as steeply.

That is hardly awesome, but I can't argue with the fact that they are better managed and more focused on the job to be done, and so have a greater chance of outperforming.

Still, the conglomerate discount is on Intel, because AMD is not a conglomerate. So Intel could actually be the better stock, if Lip-Bu really is about to downsize and reinvent the company.

NVDA has done well but has all the looks of a company pumping its stock, and that won't go well, like what happened to CSCO after Spring 2000.

@b2+1jpygkc2f Nvidia had a 10 for 1 stock split. You should learn a little about your industry.

It seems to make more sense to use what you have and put the pedal to the metal to keep their tail lights in sight.

I just noticed Nvidia has crashed from well over $1000 a year ago to $120 recently. Why not Intel buy NVDA and acqui-hire Jensen Huang to lead Data center and AI? Seems like an obvious move to me. There will be also be an instant boost in GPU expertise that Intel has been trying to gain for many years.
