Throwing good money after bad just like the refueling tanker
I think it is great that Boeing got the contract. F-47 will be a very good system. It already exists and has been tested for years. Good for Boeing!
Boeing tries t9 underbid the competition because they can’t really compete based on quality of work. That’s the reason the last three or four defense programs that they have won have all been losing money because the bid was too low to be profitable. They were trying to speed up production with these new innovative manufacturing methods, but it’s nowhere near enough money savings to be profitable.
I do wonder if Boeing won that program because the government or Trump did not want to have to bail out Boeing if they reach bankruptcy level of debt.
Boeing has 10 lives now.
Do these aircraft just fall on the target?
Are they just one use items?
Who are the majority shareholders of Boeing again?
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Vanguard Group Inc.: Holds 64.44 million shares.
BlackRock Inc.: Holds 49.43 million shares.
Capital Research Global Investors: Holds 38.67 million shares.
State Street Corporation: Holds 33.93 million shares.
Why don't you just give the monopoly money to Vanguard and BlackRock and skip the middle id--t.

Delayed due to CRDE breakthroughs, this new power plant has enable
M5 Cruise and altitudes of the SR71,
this in concert with a new stealth coating that is impervious to the
high heat generated at such mach numbers.
A vast improvement to the coating that peels off the F22
even at its far lower M cruise speed.
Adding to this new capability are multiple loyal wing-man drones
assigned to each F47 acting as defense and as offensive missile carriers.
your welcome
"Boeing no longer has the engineering depth of experience to take on a highly technical fighter design of this size."
Well, Trump claimed a prototype has been flying for 5 years, but who knows the real truth.
However, the prototype does not come with the we-pons systems and the BVR avionics, which is the real challenge. Even the final engines for it have not been developed yet (the SU-57 however did fly with other engines while in development).
The fact that Boeing relocated to D.C. tells you all the you need to know: the commercial airplane war with Airbus is lost and the military is the only way for Boeing to survive.

Ooooo but it probably came with strings attached, just wait till doggee gets in there and starts chopping 2/3 of the staff!🤣
Get the popcorn out, it’s gonna be great television!
What a joke. Some how some way Boeing will sc--w this up.

Yep, throw Boeing a bone so they don't file bankruptcy and go out of business.
Boeing has not performed well on any of their military or even commercial programs in the last 30 years. The last commercial airplane success Boeing experienced was with the original 777. But they had to sell more planes to recoup their lost then they originally thought.
Boeing no longer has the engineering depth of experience to take on a highly technical fighter design of this size.
Most Boeing employees who worked in the F-22 program, a 5th generation fighter for you clueless MBA's or liberal arts majors are no longer with Boeing. They got pushed out or left on their own due to the direction the company was heading. Sames goes for the F-15, Anyone who was an original member of that program no longer works for Boeing.
Boeing is very poor at knowledge transfer from more experienced engineers to younger engineers. Too many d-mb Boeing managers who don't understand the importance of knowledge transfer should be. The managers just sideline the older experienced engineers until they leave the company or Boeing managers with HR's help force them out.
As for the F-18. McDonnell Douglas did not design that fighter. Northrup designed the F-18, and all Boeing did was buy the design and built the planes. The Navy made a huge mistake not going with Super Tomcat 21: The ‘New’ F-14 Tomcat Fighter that Northrup would have built. Hands down the Super Tomcat, even the F-14 would have flown circles around the F-18's. The F-18's doesn't come close to filling the F-14's role for the Navy. Neither does the F-35C's.
Corporate welfare?
It's AC/DC,
Not the song Back in Black But..
Givin the Dog a Bone
something else they will jack up. seriously, this company is the american version of alenia
I guess they had a much lower bid. They don’t make money on any of the recent defense wins.
