Just got an email titled OAH Connect- Please Prioritize. 30 min at 11am tomorrow, 4/10/25. And so the RIFs begin....
@yq+1jpwts462 You worked there 14 YEARS and now you are upset. Sounds disgruntled. Just saying. :)
Post ID: @k8+1jpwts462 everything in your "UNWOKE" world is NOT political.
: @p5+1jpwts462 What do you mean people on this site don’t need a PSA? More people disagreed with my post than agreed with it, and they’re wrong because everything I said was true! You hope this work environment is something only temporary and discussing it will lead to making it better, LOL! After working 14yrs for Optum and going through all the dev-ops retraining and role changes I think I have a better understanding of the corporate strategy than everyone who disagrees with my post. Well maybe it was that I consider MN a woke ultra liberal sanctuary for criminals and illegals that people disagreed with, well I’m not wrong about that either, sorry not sorry!
If your boss starts having you cross train others on your team and document everything...That's your sign.
Any info on which departments may be impacted?
It's obvious the company is trying to make it's employees lives miserable and now they are taking away time away for salaried employees at least in BHCM...I am wondering if this applies to manager and director levels as they are also salaried employees, but of course not..It is obvious they want to make BHCM a call center, so those not opting for that most likely will be cut in the not so distant future...I love how many members block our calls now with the ridiculous ammount of outreaches and the same case coming back month after month due to our id--tic algorithms.
@k8+1jpwts462, no one needs a PSA, thank you. Rifs, or how the company treats its employees is not funny. I think what people are hoping for is a little intelligence here...we ALL know how this company is an how it operates, what the folks that still work here are looking for is any intel toward layoffs to better prepare, As difficult as this company can be to work for, and of course its reputation are irrelevant to those that have chosen to benefit from what they can, ie working from home and better pay. Some would like to hang on to those as long as possible, as the job market is not great at the moment.
I never hear about the warn Act with Optumrx. I feel like they try to avoid layoffs. Lately I feel like they have been picking every little detail about our job and performance. It's like they're trying to make life miserable to the point of making us resign to avoid having to layoff and pay unemployment.
Why is this topic so important? You have read enough and heard enough to understand the clear trend this company is on, to its own weakening! If you have a clerical position they will work you until they can automate your job function, yes AI development means your time is numbered. If you are technical and highly compensated they have reduced your title to an industry meaningless job which they have been trying to automate for the last decade. What they have achieved is to simplify your technical role so that they can offshore your job to vocationally trained workers in India who they thought could replace somebody with the breadth of knowledge and experience that people like me bring to any employer! So fck this company and put a priority to going somewhere else to forward your career. For every brown nosing yes person they promote there are 50 good people they have alienated with their weak woke management style and dead end technical career path, consider this a PSA😂
How dare they on Women's month! The patriarchy strikes again for the bigots!!!
I could only hope to get laid off, to get away from my narcissistic control freak boss.
the for a while means the next quarter so julyish
I wish I could share reliable info on here, everything I have heard about a RIF has been rumors. It seems 4/17 is the date, unsure the extent but I did hear if you "survive" this RIF, there will not be another for a "while". Thanks to all those sharing on here, best we can do a the moment!
Anyone willing to vaguely share which departments?
Can confirm 4/17 - we have about 15 on the notification list. Release 5/1
April 10th.
4/17 or 4/24 most likely - internally folks are just saying "april"
the date can change as we've seen for the last year or two based on all kinds of factors
