I wish I knew the secret to job security but I think it doesn't exist in this country anymore
I think last time he t was Aug and Oct
Yes it wasn't the only group. Others as well. It was one example of a large group let go en masse. It's safe to say based on how other staff were let go and replaced by skeleton crews that any layoffs would be similar and were in the spring if I remember.
FALSE - The last large layoff in 2023 impacted people involved with membership migration work.
My team and others were impacted and not involved with this.

Last year all IT work was centralized under DDAT, with the intent to lay people off. Names were given.
Is this really true?
CVS has more focus on pharmacy, they ultimately will layoff front store related employees, Product/Business and Data Science related jobs will be impacted
They are coming. 8k over the past two years. Another 5k with work being offshore and through contracts.
I have coworkers who have known for awhile that they are treading water.
Wow, the 'I heard 5,000 layoffs coming' crew is back. It these people were right CVS would have laid off 500,000 people by now out of the approx 250,000 who work there.
Give it and US a break.
Title Changes and re-alignment will also apply with significant pay cuts.
If one is a Director, are they being laid off or forced into taking a demotion with pay cut? The severance package for someone with 20 years is huge.
The only Departments left are within DDAT and retail closures.
I've been a member of the StillHere.com site since Aetna bought US Heathcare in 1996.
I'm finally at the point where I'm like, please pick me.
When will this be announced?
5000+?
What departments?
Next round will start in April-May 2025. Layoff Approx. 5000+ already in the works by VP's and Directors. Title Changes and re-alignment will also apply with significant pay cuts.

Seriously, if you have worked for CVS for any decent amount of time, especially since the pandemic, you should know there is no job security. If you are worried about it, you should be actively looking because it will happen. Everything is going offshore. If you didn't know this, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
I thought it was obvious, layoffs in the future is the new normal. Maybe I should start a site called StillHere.com for the survivors.
