The only place that implies big layoffs is the title. Nothing provided to support this claim. I am not saying there won't be big layoffs, I am just saying this article is pretty poor.

Agree mostly. Also, add:
- Layoff or demote 50% of the so-called "technical" Directors+ like PEs, Senior PEs, Fellows, Senior Fellows and have gradev8/9 drive those tasks
- Freezer H1B hiring.
- Disband/cut by 50% money draining bloated arrogant incompetent TD/TMG/IFS/Atom/Xeon/GPU/Haifa/CMO/Packaging/NEX/NXNE/PTL/
GNR/CWF teams.
- Reduce maternity/bonding leaves from 4 months to 1 week.
- Close down or significantly reduce incompetent Bangalore/Haifa/Kyriat/Folsom/Allentown/Oregon/Chandler attrition site.
- Layoff "supporting" teans that are not directly working on silicon, external customers!

Success or not, this is the last effort to save the ailing giant. As long as there are improvements, it is worthwhile.
IFS(OR, Austin)/TD(OR, Austin)/TMG(OR)/CMO(OR, Austin)/Packaging (Chandler, AZ)/Atom(Austin, TX)/Xeon/CCG/Bangalore/NEX/NXNE(Sachin Katti, Srinivas Lingam) teams are most incompetent, arrogant, unfriendly, bloated organization/people in Intel!
