Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel's downfall due to arrogance, nepotism, too many PEs/Senior PEs/Fellows/Senior Fellows/VPs/Directors making $500K+ total compensation but

  1. CPU teams (Atom, Xeon, PTL, GNR-D etc) are massive and many overpaid PEs, Senior PEs, Fellows). Massive grade inflation!
  2. $ndian nepot$sm is legendary in Tech industry and they flaunt and proud of it!
  3. Inferior Architecture teams (Server, Xeon, Atom etc).LOL and bloated org w brown nosing Senior PEs!
  4. NEX, NXNE (Sachin Katti, Srinivas Lingam's org)has layout "technicians (glorified)" and pure "non-technical" managers as PEs, Senior PEs. Fellows doing grade 8/9 work! Go figure! They can't handle being Director or Senior Director and so they become these technical track zombies who can't get a job outside Intel and survive by nepot$sm and brown-nosing. 2 grade demotion or 50% shd be let go.
  5. IFS is full of arrogant unskilled "engineers". 50% can get let go.
  6. Chandler Packaging teams are bloated org. 50% can be let go.
  7. TMG/TD/CPU Oregon teams are the most arrogant, egotistical Orgs! 50% shd b let go!
  8. NEX/NXNE Austin has the most inflated grade10+ compared to revenue in Intel! Most shd get demoted or let go!
  9. Sell off Mobileye, Folsom, Allentown, NEX, NXNE, Chandler etc.
  10. Reduce H1B hiring by 90%!

Nobody wants Intel expensive, complicated fab process. The TD/TMG/IFS shd be disbanded to save Intel name! Layoff all the grade10+ and have grade 7/8 take over and that will save billions!

The favoritism was not a problem when it was managers from Top 10 schools who would only hire or promote RCGs from Top 10 schools.

The issue now is that those Top 10 schools are no longer in the US, because all the 'Muricans wanted to be instagram stars or work for Facebook.

Sad yet true.

Unless you can somehow turn a Delorean into a way back machine, learn to cope.

Sorry but the Nepotism is all over the company, and I'm talking true Nepotism not just Good Old Boys but fathers-sons Mothers kids and cousins. Seen family members hired with no proper qualifications over others who are. If individuals in a group believe promotion is not fare or equal it utterly destroys moral and motivation. Most of the hard working highly qualified leave in this type of environment. There was time when higher level managers and first/middle level managers moved around a lot now it's entrenchment and empire building.

It’s amusing to see Y$t people blaming others for their own failures. Intel is one of the few companies that prioritises Y$t employees from the U.S. and Europe over those from Asia.

Even within Asia, their largest center is in Malaysia. If they are truly as capable as they claim, why do their leading semiconductor companies have CEOS from Malaysia and Taiwan? Indians are working hard for their own survival. By the way AMD, Nvidia and Qualcomm has much higher Indian employees than Intel and they are successful.

IFS(OR, Austin)/TD(OR, Austin)/TMG(OR)/CMO(OR, Austin)/Packaging (Chandler, AZ)/Atom(Austin, TX)/Xeon/CCG/Bangalore/NEX/NXNE(Sachin Katti, Srinivas Lingam) teams are most incompetent, arrogant, unfriendly, bloated organization/people in Intel! At least layoff 50% especially PEs, SeniorPEs, Fellows, Senior Fellows (especially in Atom, NEX, CCG) who can't get any job outside Intel and survive by nepot$sm, favoritism and brown nosing!

Well said! Also add hiring under DEI folks who used fake and dubious degrees from $ndia (lot of the spouses) and then using nepot$sm to bring more of their relatives/friends with dubious fake degrees!
