Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Why go to college?

‘As a white male it makes no sense to invest in school other than a trade.’ I think this ideology will change. The push to a business degree was it allowed for multiple trades. As the workforce needs ppl a business degree will become important once again.

Like too many thing in this country the past 10 years the topic of whether or not to go into the trades or a traditional four year college has become politicized, broken down into polarizing arguments and shoved down our throats. It's a very personal and individualized decision and there is no simple answer. We should do our best to guide youth to making the best decision possible based on their interests, capabilities, and what standard of living they want, including making sure they fully understand the financial impact of student loans once they are done. Afterwards, they will absolutely ignore everything you told them and make the worst decision possible. Also, skibidi toilet you mewing griddy ch-des! Happy Friday.

The issue is you can’t change the rules at the last minute. There are ppl that deserve senior management roles and you are eliminating their opportunities. Beau Cummins did well? Why can’t the ppl who over achieved reach that level? This job culture doesn’t make sense.
