As of January 31, 2025, we had approximately 108,000 employees. Throughout Fiscal 2025, we remained committed to disciplined cost management in coordination with our ongoing business modernization initiatives and continued to take certain measures to reduce costs, including limitation of external hiring, employee reorganizations, and other actions to align our investments with our announced strategic and customer priorities. These actions resulted in a reduction in our overall headcount. Despite these difficult decisions, we continue focused efforts to empower our employees and attract, develop, and retain talent.

less than 70K by end of FY26 meets the green category - Ive heard MD wants to make it easy: 1) sales folks not exceeding quota at least by 10%, 2) HR including whoever is currently leading (Connie or something like that), 3) Marketing because no one needs to see more Dell ads on bing front pages (please that's an easy way to spend money and look like your doing something but Dells marketing team doesn't even know the products - omg pls do just a little work 4) selling facilities but mandating folks come in (20-35% productivity loss estimated and what a loss in TMs wanting to do more to drive winnership w DT), creates a cogs savings, 5) reduced severance (6-12 depending on grade and time in month salary) to 3 months max, 2 month cobra reduced to 3 weeks. Regardless a good resume bullet maybe.

let's wait for the 10-K, annual filing report, that report should contain the actual headcount. last year it was published to the sec filings webpage on the 25th of march.

just for the records, last year's data says: "As of February 2, 2024, we had approximately 120,000 employees."

"HPE does it with around 50-60k people or less, and they kick dell a-s. So dell might aim for the same"
so 60k People only for Enterprise stuff?
Dell Technologies as whole has 106k people.

HP + HPE is 61k + 58k - 119k people...

There is no real target. They'll keep moving the goalposts until something catastrophic happens.

Look up Dell's 10-K. It comes out every March. Search for the term "employee" and you will see how many they have. As of February 2023, there were about 133, 000 employees. As of February 2024, there were about 120,000 employees. The new 10-K should be out within a week.
