Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

And the job cuts keep on coming

76 posts to go in chemicals as the Liverpool manufacturing plant is being shut in 1Q 2023 and production moved to Singapore. It's high fives and fat bonuses for some while the New Year dole queue awaits the rest.

Job cuts are necessary, the problem will be as always, they'll cut low instead of reducing bloated executives

One thing after the other in U.K. first we had the mess in Aberdeen with poor performance and now this in Liverpool. Shambles after shamble baker should pull out.

This company took $600m from the British government during the COVID crisis in 2020, only to export British jobs to Singapore. Somebody needs to drag LS in front of a commons select committee to explain this 76 and all the other under-the-radar redundancies that have been processed in the UK over the last few years. The UK has enough problems at the moment, it cannot and should not support such a duplicitous and frankly deceptive, UK subsidiary when it is adding to its social security bill. WAKE UP UKGOV!
