It wouldn’t be surprising, nor would I be particularly upset, if I ended up being caught in the net. If it weren’t for the poor state of the job market and the less-than-rosy economic outlook, I might even welcome parting ways with TD. I can no longer remember the last time I felt motivated or truly invested in TD.

Historically it is on average about 10% per year for at least the past 5 years that I can remember. Many of us have siimply given up thinking this company can be turned around and with every murmur of a RIF going around the office our spirits are lifted somewhat hoping it will be us.
We really are operating in a 2 speed environment. Whilst our ELT will shout that all is great and that we are changing the world, the reality is that it couldn't be further from the truth at the customer front. We are dealing with unhappy customers, getting beaten in every deal against the likes of snowflake, databricks and redshift and internally face old school management techniques where those who contribute the least get rewarded the most.
You’re not alone in your sentiments. I think we’re all burned out and over the same song and dance. Worrying every time there’s a layoff wears you down. Being overworked because so many people have been let go and dealing with the cockroach employees who somehow survive the layoffs and get away with doing nothing is very demotivating.
