Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

The most unprofessional environment you could be in

Yes. Dell is by far the most unprofessional environment I’ve ever been in. It’s not results driven at all. Decisions are made without explanation at all and leaders call and say whatever they want to you with absolutely zero consequences. They also do anything they want without reservation.

How does this happen and why isn’t HR doing something about it?

They let most of HR go a while back. What's left is there to protect the company and keep their jobs.

HR is never, NEVER there for the benefit of the employee. They are purely there to make sure that the company is protected from any litigation that may come from employees.

Don't fall for their soft skills wellnes cr-p that they put on for you. You are just a revenue generator

HR is irrelevant at Dell, they're there only to check mandatory boxes required by labour regulations.
If it wasn't for that, MD would dismantle the whole dept.

Do…. what exactly?
Corruption runs all the way through. You avoid rocking the boat, and you can feed yourself next week.
