Thread regarding Amazon.com layoffs

What happened to the 14k announced cuts?

Did layoffs start? How many have been affected so far? I'm not a manager so I'm not too worried, but I am curious how all of this will play out.

covid is over. now amazon has reached it's peak. It is only going to go down from here on. Lets see if the HR bring in some more from india. It can go down faster and faster, light speed and then hyperspeed downsizing

Many of the changes already happened last year.

Managers are actively being de-scoped. Spans and layer are being enforced. A L7 manager must have at least 6 directs and 3 of them must be managers, if not they become IC. The 14k layoff seemed to have been fake news and an interpretation of the CEO statements last year. Yet, doubts remains, will Amazon use the fake news to seriously enact the layoffs? They did not bother to rectify the news and this as well be a strategy on itself.
Do not trust Amazon.

It's been nearly six months since it was first mentioned, you'd think something would have happened by now.
