How are the SAP deployments going with the new guy now leading?

MM can’t find his way out of a wet paper bag.
Looking back at SAP and 3M. Ernie chose them around 2010 and was already finding his next gig elsewhere in 2013. And SAP still isn't fully implemented 12 years after he left. Even he knew a stink bo-b when he saw one. I believe McKinsey made hundreds of millions on the "implementation" - did Dom and Kearney get a few bites of the apple too (wait wasn't there a firewall?)
As part of the initial deployments I can share that 3M didn't stand a chance to successfully implement SAP and never will as intended. Starting with Ernie Parks fraudulent claims along with excluding 3M's voice on the matter and handing it over to extremely high paid consultants, there was no pathway to success. Highly experienced 3Mer's (from all areas) were basically told to stand down and drink the kool-aid -- that we were just resisting change. Consultants did not understand the complexity of our business models or our customers. As a result, the SAP that we have today is basically just another "legacy" system in 3M's portfolio with a handful of 3Mer's manipulating it. Consultants made a mint off of 3M during this time; many of them were hired into 3M and developed a superiority complex.
The Kearney team probably also flew business class and charged a lot on the 3M account. Why else would the son get a promotion.
Don't forget the team that went to Cancun on the company dime, in the exact same quarter where there were significant layoffs.
Started in like 2007. And yes, I knew people that got free work vacations to France, Germany, and Japan because of BT.
The only ones who benefit are the core deployment team. They get to travel, free hotel stays and meals. And get to explore other countries. Great deal
Now this made me laugh. How many years ago did they start, and SAP still isn't fully deployed? Think of all the wasted hours....
Being boiled into syrup right now
SAP............you mean like from a tree?
Who needs tireman? IT has KPMG Q-man and all his external KPMG hires.
How many Kearney people are still working on this debacle. With Tireman leaving, what's left for Kearney to ruin. At least they won't need the ficticious firewall.
Ha! There's no focus in IT.
Actually, I take that back -- he's focused on things that aren't under our control. I'm stuck trying to manage a project that isn't even run by us because he's pressuring my boss to accelerate the timeline on something that isn't our responsibility.
The guy is nuts.
What new guy?
