Thread regarding Fossil Inc. layoffs

Named 2025 Best Place for Working Parents by James aweb

Looks like HR took this 3 minutes self-assessment to see if Fossil qualified for this designation on the Dallas Regional Chamber website.

Funny that this news comes up the same day that the DMN wrote about Fossil closing stores and the recent layoffs, too. 🤔

This place is basically a time capsule of uncoolness at this point. It hasn't been relevant in over a decade, especially now that the brand and work culture are totally backwards. Anyone with even a hint of creativity bailed years ago. Let's face it—the brand’s officially on life support.

Work from home was good for families. I know teams that actually worked earlier and later hours from home, yet balanced the craziness of younger children. And work output didn’t suffer. It never skipped a beat. Productivity didn’t suffer, deadlines were met on time just like always. Family life was great. RTO policies are archaic. Commuting early and late takes away the life balance that people found after WFH become the norm.
