Chris Singh was the best thing that ever happened to Blackbaud. The guy was amazing. Old leaders around him moved slowly and sales did not sell. In cloud the model he put in was very good for customers and much more sustainable for employees he needed to shift from one time revenue to recurring. Guy quit before these gutless layoffs.

The comment about Chris Singh is fiction, except for the last sentence. The unsustainable business model perpetuated by Blackbaud's old guard is the root of this RIF, not Chris. Chris was first executive to break the mold in a long time, and I doubt he wanted his reputation soiled by an antiquated company that is slow to pivot and as a result had to layoff hundreds of talented employees. The remaining leaders need to step up their game, as the values they claim to lead by are severely lacking in practice. The loss of talent is absolutely tragic, but I believe those impacted will find other roles quickly because of their passion and deep knowledge of the nonprofit industry. This layoff will have long lasting impact. It will also cause a brain drain. There's very little trust left that if people stay they won't be on a chopping block next because of leadership's poor decisions. It takes a lifetime to build trust and it can be lost overnight.

It’s not chris’s fault, it’s Sidips and we all know it. His restructuring is the direct reason for the layoffs

Completely inaccurate on Chris Singh. He tendered his resignation before the layoffs. He was trying to fix a very broken system and disagreed with the layoffs. He was highly regarded by Blackbaud employees.

About 2 years ago Blackbaud hired Chris Singh from SAP. He attempted to change the service model over a two year period. He failed miserably would be a nice way to put it. He continuously tried to put a square peg in a round ho-e. The services team is begging for work and doing whatever they can to have enough hours to fill our time card. The company has made minimal service revenue for the last 2 years and still do not have a service model in place. About 3 months ago Mike G realized that Chris did not understand the business and no one was purchasing his packages because everything was expensive and didn’t make sense for the client base so they promoted him and hid him in upper management somewhere. They also had the problem that one of their biggest clients is the NRA and they also had the school district where there was a shooting as a customer. They talk about social good, and all that jazz but are a major partner for an organization that promotes g-n use. Finally, yesterday, Chris Singh was let go, and yet another layoff of at least 30 people happened. They made their CIO the interim service manager, because that will solve the problem. The main point here is be aware, while thinking about being a partner or an employee, this place is so shady and has no loyalty. It’s a bunch of old white men running the show and no changes will happen until the 1950 boys’ club is disbanded.

I was let go after 18 years as were lots of other people with long tenure and high salaries. I feel sorry for those who are left and our customers.
