First, even if you survive one round of layoffs, there's always the next one to look forward to, which you probably won't survive. Second, even if you survive, you'll have to deal with a drastically increased workload since somebody has to do the work of those who were let go. And third, you can forget any raises or bonuses because layoffs are expensive and they have to pay for them somehow.

Sadly this post is spot on. Your reward for being a dedicated, hard worker. A leader. You will be kept (for now). You can suffer while your lucky peers got freed from he-l with a hefty package to boot.
My BU may get sold? Cool! No more TK after that! Well I can only hope.
I agree, look for the upside as TK reduces the customer base to the bare minimum.
A much smaller company, with fewer employees and customers, may actually prosper
This is a very negative perspective of the future outlook. It will take some time, but as more customers abandon their Citrix products and switch to competitors, then the workload at CSG will decline to a more manageable level. Be patient, and you'll see some improvement. That's apparently what happened when Krause stepped in to stabilize the ongoing decline at Symantec and CA
Excellent way to describe survivor dilemma .
There is no winner surviving the layoffs
Also, your BU will eventually get sold, in which case you'll probably lose your job anyway.
