Brian MacDonald: Back with a vengeance

On July 12, 2022 when I heard the news that Brian Krzanich resigned from CDK and Brian MacDonald was taking over again, I knew that CDK was doomed. CDK had just become one of the best companies to work for under BK’s leadership, I guarantee you that that title is now gone! From the moment BM came in with his “straight talk” we almost immediately saw lay offs. People from all departments across the board were let go. After the dust settled we were told that cuts were made and that they were done, lies! Not even a couple months later more people were let go. Entire departments from application developers, service people, installers and trainers (oh wait they brought some trainers back a week later) were let go. It’s not enough that we were already short staffed, nope, now we’ve become crippled! All this in the name of BM’s quest to become “lean”. I feel really bad for CDK’s clients. Good luck getting your issues cared for. Your tickets will be sitting untouched for weeks before anyone gets to them. Don’t bother calling in because you’ll more than likely get someone from a different department (whatever is left of it) that is clueless on the issue you’re calling about. Why you may ask?Well that’s because calls are being sent to everyone and anyone that can answer a call but don’t worry, we will still be nice and will even have a lovely talk piece for you. This unfortunately, is the new reality of support. Not to worry though at least we’re “lean”. Oh and let’s not forget about “straight talk” - speak up or disagree with senior leadership and you’re gone! Best wishes to all of those that were let go and good luck to those that remain!

eleads is dead cdk has destroyed the number 1 crm and now its a joke few more months there wont be any employees left that know how to fix it. oh but lets keep hiring people to run it when they new had software or crm experience. mcdonald and his side kick are cancer and that is just a tiny bit of it! so much corruption in upper leadership and the managers just say its how it is.

Wow…not sure why you feel the need to take issue with ELead, but I can assure you they are suffering just as badly. There aren’t enough agents to take calls anymore so they have T2 and T3 taking calls when it gets too bad. We are all being choked out in the name of “lean and fit”

Several of you accidentally used BK Instead of BM. Let’s be careful not to tarnish Brian Krzanich’s good name. He may not be perfect, but he did help the company to recover from BM.

I seriously have no idea how this company can still function.
I also have no idea why BK is still alive, he and his kind offer nothing to this world other than pain and suffering.

He weaseled his way back in to destroy CDK’s reputation again, make cuts, ki-l employee morale and to as another user here mentioned, make CDK appear to have great numbers so they can go public again in a year or two to stuff their pockets.

I'm a former employee who ran across this while trying to figure out if CDK had crashed and burned yet.
With BK back they most certainly will. Why did they bring him back?

You petty much nailed this on the head! Old McDonald is a total hack and spineless! I still have clients calling me months later saying how much CDK sucks now and how much they miss me since I was the only one that could help them, they can't wait to leave! It's all about these Elead folks now who really are bad but that was Old McDonald's baby! Elead support was the worst and made regular CDK Drive support just as bad when they took over running support. There are a few time ADP/CDK folks that must have pics to keep the jobs they now have! God luck to all as well who still has a job and I wish you nothing but the best!
