“Hey Aetna people” said a CVS shill, tone-deaf to the hatred most Americans have for pharmacy companies overcharging their customers. Including CVS.

Hey -heritage Aetna people...you may take great pride in the Aetna name...but members who have Aetna as their healthcare plan generally HATE Aetna. CVSH would likely benefit from distancing themselves from a brand name that most members and payers associate with negatively.

  • Feel free to replace "Aetna" with "PBM Caremark" or "Retail stores having IT issues when you need a refill or prescription filled" when you make that statement. The hate is pretty equal across the board -

Lol. Gullible people. These meetings are to plan for next layoffs.
I wish they layoff themselves rather than hard working people.

Always love to see compliance and legal considerations dead last. Lends legitimacy to the post as bonafide CVS “leadership” as alive and well.

@DEI is not going anywhere, therefore Aetna won't qualify…..

That is your opinion.

DEI is not going anywhere, therefore Aetna won't qualify for government contracts. Woke is not a good financially sound business decesion. Aetna is a business-bottom line.

Rid of is not the right word.
Like it or not CVS bought Aetna.
Aetna will cease to exist as a brand just like Coventry did. This was decided back in 2018 with a plan that is slightly behind.
What that means for systems, people and the HBC depends on a lot including the possible move to privatize as much as possible government programs.
In 2018 we didn't have pandemics, the take over of government beauracracy, or multiple leadership changes from VP on up that on average created more chaos than anything else.

Perhaps that was the plan.
Denial will not pay the bills, neither does loyalty.

Watching some of the task masters actually have to work rather than blame their staff or pass the buck will be good. Good for character development. Or they can take the option to leave.

Retail pharmacy is dead, so the grand poobahs decided to buy a health insurer.

This meeting is NOT about getting rid of "Aetna". It is a meeting for "Workforce Strategy and Management, Layoffs, title changes, etc."

*** CVS Wil never get rid of Aetna where they make the biggest revenue from the government health insurance programs.

Get rid of Aetna?
To be it's on separate entity?
Is this more so for commercial or Medicare?
I noticed last week a lot of interdepart changes with leadership.
