Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Merit increase

Merit increase thoughts anyone? Mine was a slap in the face, does not even cover inflation!

I got 50 cents increase. 5 years of being here and volunteering myself for every project and meeting my KPIs. Please don't volunteer yourself and take on extra projects here. They won't recognize (compensate) it, so it doesn't matter

Hi Frustrated Elf. They said they wouldn't take inflation into any sort of consideration every TW & meeting we've asked. They keep us hopeful by a thread & let us down at every turn. The checks keep cashing at least. Keep the faith something better is coming because hope gets us no where.

Keep on Keepin' on.
Signed,

I second the slap on the face sentiments. Somehow managed to only receive a “meets expectations” from my manager and got a lousy 3%. Thanks SO much Nielsen for the extra $30 a paycheck. I’ll make sure I use that huge increase wisely.
I’m pretty positive I know who this frustrated elf is (the OP) and this disgruntled pelican says hi

was a lower % than the past 2 years despite the insane difference in workload

Right. Also doing a merit increase less than a week before laying off half the MRs is super suspicious. Makes me think they didn’t intend to lay anyone off yet but had to.
