I know a kindergarten teacher that makes over $100K a year. That's ridiculous! That's a $50K/year job if that. No wonder SAUSD is going broke - just like the rest of California!

I agree with you as far as the UPPER grades. Not kindergarten. The teacher I know does not work as you describe. Thanks for the invite but I pass as I am retired after 40 years in the Corporate world with a job description that makes yours sound like cake.
We invite you to work as a teacher for one week not subbing though but actually doing lesson plans, small group teaching based on differentiation, ela, eld, math, social studies, art and PE all while making sure that all kids are compliant and at the same time dealing with non stop interruptions! Oh, and committee meeting, official state work that has to be filled out…just like an air traffic controller.. barely a lunch or bathroom break… work at night and weekends…you would not last a day and in the upper grades like fourth and fifth… just the morning. Teachers deserve the pay and the breaks otherwise no one would want to teach. Young generation are quitting so you have plenty of jobs to pick from!
