Does anyone else work in a center where the candidates are straight up as-----s? I don’t just mean stubbornness, I talking about insults to the staff and refusal to follow procedures.
Is anyone else encountering this at the centers? They’re supposed to be professional, after all.
The candidates are testing for certified professional positions and many seem unable to handle basic courtesy and simple instructions. The excuse that they're nervous gets old because being nervous doesn't mean lashing out. Most of the jobs they are testing for require strong response under pressure and/or dealing with people as part of the job. These candidates are showing a lack of fitness for their career field and they are difficult to have in the center.
I work in this type of center. Many of the candidates are disrespectful and straight up rude and it seems to be getting worse. It takes longer to get them through the check in process because of this and the candidates waiting get more impatient. Of course they can see what's happening but they too are unwilling to understand that sometimes you have to wait when the person who needs to check you in is helping someone else.
