According to my store manager, ISM will be going away. It has not been released to the entire company yet.
With BOH and Fulfillment combined, stores keep both Captains. This is fact, not rumor.
Headcount for Dock/Fulfillment is not changing. My store already works together so I expect not a lot will change. Some people will have to get their as--s in gear tho
When are these alleged changes taking place? Our actual picks are often 50% or more than the forecast numbers.
Only in smaller volume stores . Below 20 million.
I had not heard that a captain position would be reduced by this changes 🫣 I wonder if it will be thru attrition or thru force
What I mean by being combined is I just heard that yes Fufillment and receiving will be one team, and one captain. Someone’s gonna lose their position. Of course we all do other tasks like signing, markdowns, tag up, and helping each other but with combining we need less people and only one captain not two.
Not at my store. Our receiving team helps out in Fufillment but they never help with trucks or anyone else when picks are low
In my store, I'm the Fulfillment captain and I help out with truck/markdowns/tagging or whatever is needed when I have time. If picks are low and my team can handle it, I'll go do something else. Dock captain and her team also help me so I don't understand what you mean by 'being combined'. They kinda already are in my store
What’s happening with Fufillment and receiving? Are they being combined?
So let me get this straight, no more fulfillment team, limited staff for the dock to process a huge truck and limited amount of people to merchandise. But we need to merchandise and with all these new standards and floor moves it’s getting ridiculous.
Gah they are combining all back of house roles fulfillment hours getting reduced/right sized truck roles combined with fulfillment too , Gen seller counts changing for more area specific roles and reducing merchandising headcount’s
I know it’s not working because I work in Big Ticket & sometimes I’m forced to cover the whole floor because associates called out. Big Ticket is my 1st priority because as we all know that’s a commissioned department & if any mattress customer needs help I take them, & if they don’t have anyone else to cover the customers have to be sent to a different floor. They are not happy about it. That’s just a few examples of why ISM isn’t working in my opinion.
It’s not working!!!!!
It's not going away. But more area specific associates are going to be Assigned than currently are.
ISM is working . It is cutting hors across the company , which is the core principle. Dont think about the workload .... Think about the saving to the company .
One person is no longer tied to any specific area they can work everywhere. Therefore, you don’t need multiple different team . less teams more savings.
It is indeed going away. Found out earlier this week. Either end of Q1 or Beginning of Q2.
ISM only works if no one calls out.
ISM works in theory. However it just isn’t possible to follow in stores that aren’t given hours. It is literally impossible to complete processes with acceptable percentages when you're expected to assist customers, cover registers, breaks, fitting rooms and recovery as well.
I can’t believe we are still exhausting ourselves trying to make it work. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
In a meeting a few weeks ago, we were told that ISM is here to stay because it’s “working.”
We in the stores know that is not true.
