Was anyone else offered a PIP or take a severance today? Asking for a friend…of course..

8 weeks. Rehirable. If layoff occurs during PIP, still get severance. If not, and PIP isn’t resolved, no layoff. Two business days to decide. I recommended to take the PIP. Was just generally curious about any other “quiet layoffs”. This individual is FAR from needing to be on a PIP from what I’ve seen.
Zayo is hiring, they have been for several months. They were and are ramping up the headcount.
That’s standard when going on a PIP. They want you out and don’t want to deal with this PIP. So they offer you money to leave then you can’t sue. Either way you are gone when your pip is over. Use the time to look for a job.
My manger offered me a membership in the jelly of the month club for 3 years. I held out for a Hickory Farms membership. Summer sausage every month for 5 years!!!!
“ Same friend told me you guys are on limited time with the needful acquisition in a dog eat cat world”
Are they back to eating the dogs and eating the cats thing? Because I’ve not heard a peep about that in months.
Further, I’d the dog eats the cat and gets sick, would pet insurance pay for the medical bills?
Mgrs. Jockeying to reduce staff while keeping their relatives.
What are the details of the severance you received?
@ac+1jp8m7t5k It’s an asset sale, not your traditional merger/acquisition.
How does one p*** off their boss enough to get this offer?
They are doing “QUIET LAYOFFS” which are not quiet at all!!
What did they offer for the severance? Asking for a different friend.
