Thread regarding Apache Corp. layoffs

Who’s going to buy us? Who do you hope buys us?

Throwing out P/I, sudden obsession with stick count and faster production… Smells like a pump & dump!

Any rumors about which company or companies came with the offer the CEO mentioned in the town hall?

@3v3 but what about the P&A liability in the GoA and North Sea…
Gotta be at least 1.6 Billion to do a half a-s job of P&Aing

If it’s true, they will layoff 90% of the people

If it’s CVX they will be meeting at the Four Seasons-Houston. CVX keeps apartments there for this kind of confidential stuff. They will meet and negotiate their APA exit packages.

If there’s a buyer this is their chance, APA market cap value is only $5.4 billion, a bargain. Ripe for a take over

They’re buying back shares and doing their pump and dump to keep the Titantic afloat. Don’t buy the stock. No one is going to pay much of a premium, if any.

Too many capital requirements for NS and GOM abandonment plus Suriname and maybe Alaska before any revenue is received

Apache is burdened by liabilities, until that’s cleaned up you will not be purchased. Outside of a desperation move by a company having to buy reserves, the vicious cycle continues. Good luck

Safer bet for Apa employees to keep their jobs, not that they will be the highest bidder.

Maybe buy some Apa stocks when they go down more and make some money in the acquisition, I guess that’s why they are buying back shares.

@ew+1jp87sar7 you are an imbecile. That's a crowd Apache can't hang with. Post what you want to feel better about the situation, but the majors don't have sub $20 stock, JC, an unqualified LT, or you (anymore- you didn't make it and they won't take you back)!
This whole post is about which major will come in and save the day/rescue Apa.
Say what you want about the big guys… But the fittest survive… And Apache won't be remembered by anyone in five years.
Now, that's worth a laugh.

Apache is junk- the assets and most of the people (the leaders wouldn't be staff workers at CVX, BP, RDS, XOM). No one will buy.

I don’t see why Chevron outsourcing jobs means they wouldn’t buy a company. They’d just lay us off and dump the work on those Indians.

CVX will buy us to replace reserves which have been hit by the Hess delay.

OXY & EOG are a safer bet, CVX building technology center in India to replace Engineers and Geos, already shipped IT.

CVX loosing Venezuela soon, APA a bargain at the moment to replenish that loss of production and Egypt being a key US partner, another valuable asset best kept in US hands. JC
