Many of you that have left BPX and Bp for better companies and opportunities-How do you feel watching BP crash down? Even better, how do you feel watching undeserving leaders who are over promoted ride the ship down into the dirt? Isn't it rich?
Keep a look out for their resumes. Don't let them ruin your company culture elsewhere.

If you've left this place and moved on to greener pastures over the last several don't let them come in and ruin it.
We all know who the bad apples are. I do feel bad for several of my colleagues that haven't made it out yet.
It doesn't matter how much experience or talent you have if you treat people like garbage and manipulate and step on people to get promoted. How many careers have been muted and how many resumes have been damaged to give these bad apples opportunities they didn't deserve. I personally know multiple good people who lost continuity in their resumes because this place doesn't care about people.
I bet this chat really hurts some egos. If it hurts yours or causes you to pop off or get defensive there is a very high likelihood you were or you are currently a part of the problem.
If this place gets bought or merged with Shell it's going to get even worse. They have a horrible company culture too.
As much as I feel bad for my colleagues, the company is going to p-o and everything I see just reinforces my decision to leave. Good luck all of you left behind.

... I feel like I'm going through the same thing, and it feels lonely. I'm sorry you went through this. I'll find my way out, but never get back the years I wasted here.
I have no sympathy for this LT and the culture of failure they created. This didn't happen in a vacuum. I'm rooting for the company for all the people/families with livelihoods depending on it, and genuinely rooting against any leadership that turned this company rotten.
I don't like seeing the company doing so poorly, but I must say, I sympathize with the sentiment of this post. There are specific people that need to be black listed after this. They ran off a lot of great people and their ethics are horrible.

How does a BP retiree feel about all that's going on? I regularly chat with a handful of other former colleagues. We do talk about BP, and I know all of us feel bad to see this company sink like this. We have sympathies for those who are currently going through this. As much as I complained about Brown's strategies and my belief it was the culture created by Brown that resulted in safety issues, I also realized that when BP retired me early, I appreciate the pension money I received. So, no, it brings me no joy to see this happening. I still have friends who are with BP. My wish for BP to be successful is not the same to say that the current LT and Board to be spared. BP is underserved by its leaders.
I cry each night as I sit and think about how I no longer contribute to all the billions not being returned to share holders.
