If my pay is much lower than the base pay range, does that mean I'm underpaid?
Hypothetical Example:
80k - 100k - 120k USD Annual
If I'm paid ~85k, is that super low?...

Unfortunately, there is likely quite a bit of us that are 10K or more under the mid range of our levels it seems. After merit, I am still 10k under. At this rate, it'll be another 2 - 3 years before I see mid range.
Be grateful you have a job fool. I can always call up a cousin to interview for your roll
Some companies lie about pay ranges on Internet, just to get candidates.
You are not necessarily underpaid. It depends on your experience for the job, department budget for the job and internal equity. The job was slotted into this range considering market competition. People get hired between the minimum and midpoint depending on qualifications, budget and negotiation.
These days oatmeal is better than no meal. Be dutiful and accept the offerings
Saying this as gently as I can, your best bet is to look up salary ranges within the Department of Labor or other websites like Glassdoor and ignore CVS ranges, which are so arbitrary and wide it’s ridiculous. Using credible resources, you will get adjusted factors such as education, years of service and location (example- a 20 year professionally certified urban colleague will arguably have more W2 power). Can’t say you are underpaid for certain without more information, but it looks like you have some great earning potential to go find. If you’re a CVS colleague you will always need to advocate for yourself. Good luck.
Yes, you sure are. I’m in the same boat. I plan on leaving the company. I’m actively interviewing with broker firms.
