This Monday, March 16th we will be wearing black to the office to support the formation of a union for Cengage employees.
Union cards will be available soon. Spread the word!
The days of Cengage employees being marginalized are OVER!

This strategy makes sense. Unions are the definition of rewarding mediocrity and Cengage defines mediocrity.
Good luck!
Just go get another job.
You do realize that you may as well wear a "PLEASE FIRE ME" shirt if you are wearing black. Most states are "at will" so Cengage can fire you at any time, for pretty much any reason.
These posts are fake anyways.
Good luck with that.
I can't help but question the authenticity of this. It feels more like a jab at the previous post on unions. Most people hardly ever go into the office anymore, so "wear black" to show support doesn't make any sense. It seems like the Cengage trolls have a bit too much free time on their hands. Seriously, life is too short; there are much better ways to spend your time than writing fake posts on the Layoffs.
A subreddit would be a much more effective way of getting the word out.
NWU is indeed involved! The word is spreading and we are getting ready for big things!
Management's days of bullying and intimidation are coming to an end!
From what I understand, the NWU is willing to help. We are working on getting cards done. Once we get the cards, if most employees sign, we can move forward.
If people are interested in more information I can spell out or email address here.
Cengage's chickens are coming home to roost!
Hehe, what would unionization solve? This company has no money and they have demonstrated no hesitancy when it comes to setting employees free and tossing their work overseas. Demanding unionization @ Cengage right now is akin to demanding a vegan menu on the Titanic, we are in the last-gasp era now.
I think this is a joke post. I'm not being negative; I just don't think anyone at Cengage is actually doing this.
Someone should set up a private invite-only Discord to start planning in earnest. Wouldn’t recommend doing it over Slack or any other Cengage-owned platforms.
I think there are nonprofit groups out there that help employees start the process of unionization. Might be worth getting in touch with one of them?
