Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Any chance for Optum VRSP?

With the apparent success of the UHC Voluntary Separation package, what are the chances Optum may offer this option as well this year?

Hopefully Optum will hear or read. After all their favorite saying is , “ You asked and we heard. Than they pretend to deliver or provide whatever request we asked for but it’s not quite what was asked. It is for them an opportunity to sc--w the employees while playing the good guys. Sure you got something but they will teach you a lesson at the same time for asking . Hopefully if enough ask for voluntary package to separate they will send out an email . You asked and we heard. Here you go.

zero. Optum does reductions at least once per qtr so no need they got the thinning down to a science. buy company and gut it asap. UHC on the other hand does not do as many hence the backup of bodies to eliminate and more people close to retirement age makes the incentive to have people resign on their own with a nudge. UHC had to accelerate the reduction more than planned since the insurance side of the house the business changed abruptly. The plan all along was to move as much as they could to optum as modernization of legacy systems occurred. Hence over time would only have a bank and people to construct insurance plans as the core business. Outsource all non core to optum
