The title says it all. I have worked here twenty plus years and it keeps getting worse. The new reorg is good for only the chosen and connected people. The common workers have no chance. My skills are wasted at this dysfunctional mess. I keep running into inefficient, outdated processes and forms. It is so hard just to do my job because of this bloat. I have given up and just want to retire ASAP. I have 947 days till freedom. I do not know how exxon survives and makes money. The place is doomed and irrelevant, OIL and gas is doomed and destined to fail.

Now that upstream is going to follow the Baytown style of management it is done. There is no hope for any improvement and it will continue to get worse. My retirement can not come soon enough. It only gets worse each year.
I have made contacts and very good impressions at several other companies. I have several jobs waiting for me if I want them. Many companies know the problems with exxon. I am very skilled at innovation and process improvements along with other skills. Exxon is not interested in innovation or improvements unless it comes from the the right persons. I would never return to this mees that is exxon after retirement.
So you spent 20+ years at a place where your skills are wasted because the place is dysfunctional. So you are admitting that you have no skills. You are the problem, collecting pay and benefits while su-king up to however is above you. You should be glad that you got better pay and benefits than you could have anywhere else, but yet you add no value, constantly whine and complain, and won’t quit and get a job anywhere else. You won’t get a job anywhere else because no one else will hire you. I wouldn’t refer to you as an employee because you are not employed, you are a welfare recipient of the ExxonMobil welfare system. That’s why we in India are eating you lunch and are coming after your dinner, then your daughter (not your wife, she is too ugly), at least your daughter is young.

I am just cruising into retirement. All you su-kers kissing a-s and bootlocking good luck to you. The place su-ks. The management from the supervisors to the mangers all are trash. All I want is to leave with my pension and medical. They cannot harm me anymore I am almost free. How much can you take? I have done my time and every year was intolerable. Look at the faces of the workers around you. Everyone is out to get each other. The faces of fear. It is not a happy place to work at. I truly hate this place and wish it would die. Many other workers feel this way. The moral is sh-t at my complex. Employees won't say it outloud but they are thinking it.

OP we all know this. What's your point? We're all here for the fu--ing money. We have no loyalty to Darren. We don't believe in Exxon. We know it has no future. We all know our careers are fu---d. get it in your head this is just a fu--ing job. We're here for the fu--ing money. Period.
