Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Enbridge rips off customer for years and refused to pay back the money

Tonight's news showed how Enbridge overcharged a customer $4500.00 over several years. When the customer complained BIG OLE ENBRIDGE would only pay back 2 years or $1,500.00 dollars. So the customer had to go to the OEB to fight Enbridge and won! Enbridge paid all the money back. So enbridge not only treats their employees badly, now they are doing it to their customers also. It Looks like enbridge won't be in Ontario much longer.

I’m sorry but all the executive leadership group are simply deaf, d-mb and blind id--t monkeys.
Not taking the time to listen to employees or sending out ridiculous surveys to try to make themselves seem like they care of customers/employees.
Orchestrating their business plans and making sure they try to sell it to employees that have lost so much faith in the company.
Hey Greg ….FYI. Show no integrity or value get none in return.

I can't understand why Enbridge would aquire a company, and not use all the benefits that come alone with owning that company... Nope, just buy it and make it Enbridge, like it's the best. It's not the best. It's actually far from the best. Yes, trim the fat but integrate in a smart way. Now all they've done is humiliate workers and angered them to the point where there's a gap between contractors and Enbridge employees that's going to directly impact customer service and the company doesn't care. Profits are lasting success are built on a solid foundation. These profits are built on an illusion. It feels like supplying Ontario with natural gas is an after thought.

Profit over safety?
People who don’t know what they are doing?
Morale down?
OVERCOMPLICATING THINGS?!?!
You must be on the wrong message board. Enbridge would never do anything like this….hahaha. Crazy how your experience in Canadian GDS sounds almost exactly like my experience in US LP.
The only reason why this place hasn’t shut down is due to a wide moat and we operate in an industry that offers high profit margin on our service. We’d run a lemon stand into the ground.

The takeover could have been so streamlined if they took the best from both worlds. However, the entire focus was on the Enbridge model, which stresses profit rather than safety, not caring about customer satisfaction, outsourcing, and over complicating things. There are people in positions with unrelated work experience who have no idea what to do. Morale is down. Outside workers aren't taking hours.
It's like the Titanic sailing right for the iceberg. If a major incident happens, Enbridge is not going to look good. Especially in the Windsor and London areas.

What’s the surprise here? See it on a daily basis. Customer being billed commercial when should be residential and visa versa. Too much inexperience and no knowledge of the consequences when assigning the account setup.

Dump all Canadian operations and focus on the US. The ON govt can take over gas operations.

They have sc--wed over tons of farmers with their complete joke of meter reading. Farmers with grain dryers that never got their meter reads for several months.
Enbridge estimated according year prior usage and fall drying season.
Grain did little to no drying compared to other years.
Then when finally did read meter had overcharged by excessive amount.
Some as much $55000.
Farmer already paid estimated gas bill.
And Enbridge will not pay back the money.
Telling farmers to carry a credit for a year until next drying season.
Utterly ridiculous

This is old news ... it's been that way for years.

they will continue to operate on ontario - it's a monopoly. the OEB has nailed GDS multiple times in the past 2 years for not meeting service levels to run a utility (by legal standards). Weak fines and fast talking haven't changed anything.

their is tons of proof of anti-competitive practices in ontario that new entrants, and existing customers are complaining about (ie. homeowners whom disconnect from the system, yet they leave live meters there and ding customer charges, etc...).

To be honest, Ontario is an afterthought - they have moved on the US now, and i don't think GDS leadership even gives two cares about Ontario any more. They botched integration (still not even completed 8 years later), failed on the regulatory front with horrible results, tons of layoffs. They have moved on to the US without even finishing the job in ontario.

No one cares anymore, has trust in most corporate entities are so low that we have just become used to large corporations ripping us off day to day.

Enbridge Ontario will continue to be here for decades ... they paid off the government to guarantee those results. And customers and the produce/service are the least of their concerns.
