Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Morale at an all time low

The entire workforce morale is so low it’s hard to think that it could get lower.

All we do is change things around and not in a positive way. At this point, this is just a paycheck for everyone I talk with.

They do the minimum, get paid and go home. There is absolutely no reason to excel at anything here. They don’t care. This company isn’t about results. It’s about grifting the public, your employees and investors into thinking it’s awesome.

I’d describe Dell as looking pretty good on the outside, meanwhile you have a gigantic, smelly load in your pants.

That’s Dell.

This is what corporate leadership has become - now it’s time to get back to the office like good, compliant employees. The reality is, many of these decisions are driven by outdated management philosophies, real estate investments, and a desire for control rather than actual business needs.

From an early age, Americans are conditioned to consume. More possessions often lead to more debt, trapping many in a cycle they can’t easily escape. The reality is, for most people, it’s not just a matter of choice - it’s a system designed to keep them spending. They are bound to their financial obligations and must comply. The billionaires know this, they control your reality.

As low as morale is, you have no idea how horrific it is to work at Dell. When I started at my new company, it was a shock to the system. It felt weird to be in a growing company that is investing in people and not circling the drain while treating people like refuse. It felt strange to be treated with dignity. It was absolutely bizarre to see org structures and processes that had some stability, instead of constantly rearranging cr-p for the sake of rearranging. Dell su-ks, and it probably su-ks more than you even realize while you are desperately clinging to your job.
