How do we feel about managers that beat up and yell at colleagues during their review....

What’s worse, if someone speaks up about unprofessional behavior, they make sure to repeat it to others, fueling more negativity. Rather than protecting the team, they throw people under the bus without hesitation. To make matters worse, they have close friends in HR, which allows them to act without accountability. Many on the team feel helpless and unheard.
The behaviors we’re seeing are completely out of line with the company’s values of hospitality, especially trust, and integrity. The team deserves better leadership—and a fair chance to thrive in a positive work environment.
Although our store manager never physically mistreats us, she demoralizes the team with her harsh language and consistently negative attitude. She makes it seem as though our presence is entirely unnecessary, treating our collective efforts as unimportant. She runs the store like it’s solely her domain—a one-person circus—and in my experience, she is the most insincere manager I have ever encountered.
If that’s how reviews are being delivered then it’s time to make a report with HR bc that’s unacceptable and not why reviews are given.
The purpose of a review is not to be left feeling beat up. It should leave one feeling good about their accomplishments and with a plan to grow thru your opportunities, knowing your leader is on your side, committed to coaching you on your path to success….no beat up or defeated. If this is happening you definitely need to open an HR case.
What ?? This has never happened. If you are being yelled at and “beat” up, this is a major HR violation and needs to reported ASAP
Okay I know our company has some stuff to work on as every one does but what lol 🤣🤣🤣???
"Beat up"??! That's pretty strong language. Did someone actually get beat up?
Worked there for over two years not once had a review. My manager said I’m “unapproachable” yet never tried to genuinely interact with me.
And no raises. Womp womp
OF COURSE no one would like that and it would be a violation of HR policies to 'beat up' and yell at a colleague
