Profits drop 85% in '24

Profits have dropped significantly this past year and the sale to a hedge fund that is going to rip the company to shreds looks imminent.

What keeps you people around?

My problem was the people that would follow me to the bathroom or to the kitchen. Anywhere else would be called harassment. But at Citgo, the Carnival cruise of o&g, it was just a Tuesday.

It ki-ls me how they blame the US for taking away the company from them when they actually ran it into the ground. Never had any cold drinks because the cooler was broken. The breakfast tacos had no taste.

The emails were what drove me over the edge. 'No one can understand what you said' I would literally copy a previous email that a woman had sent but they would not respond to mine. I got to the point where I was using pictures with arrows and they wouldn't respond. My manager would read the emails during the meeting.
This is the most inefficient company I have ever seen.

It's probably the only place that will take them. I worked there for almost a year and found it was the most unprofessional environment I had ever been a part of. The same people constantly hanging out in the hallway making noise. A lot of mornings it smelled like a junior high locker room. About halfway through the ripeness would intensify because ppl wouldn't wash their junk. There was one IT guy who used to bang his hand against my window while I was working. They would burn the popcorn in the microwave at least once a week.

I worked on getting the contracts into the open text system and just when we were starting to make headway, the manager starts harassing me about doing it faster and I should know this. There were problems all along the way that we were solving on our own but she wanted more more more. When she was asked where the six people that they were going to hire were at. she just changed the subject. When they had their town halls to discuss the drop in earnings. she would call me to ask what I was working on. One Friday on her day off she called for an update and started yelling at me about why I wasn't doing the line items that she had told me earlier in the week not to do??? Another time she locked me in a room to yell at me that I was making excuses and to get with the program. Later when she was criticizing me for referring to a spreadsheet as 'that thing', I told her she did the same thing. Instead of taking it in stride, she took it personally just like the time I had to raise my voice to tell her for the second time 'it doesn't have a workspace.'
Combine all this with the awful commute 5 days a week and you have a recipe for misery. I put my best foot forward and got things moving in the right direction but that took them away from what they wanted to be which was their past.
