Since many people are leaving already, it is hard for me to believe that there will be more cuts soon. However, considering that there are more and more rumors about the additional cuts that will follow, I wonder if anyone has any insights what the main target groups will be?

Cengage DOES target employees. During my round of layoffs it was pretty clear that the directors got rid of people based on their perception of them. I had exceeds expectations on my last review but because the director clearly didn't like me I was gone. The area I worked is still loaded with a bunch of do nothings who everyone joked that many of them survived yet again.
IPS is on fire these days.
Greetings,
It would not surprise me if Mr. Musk tries to leverage a buyout from our investors. Expanding his empire by entering the rapidly growing EdTech space by purchasing its undisputed leader would make sense. Let me be clear, Cengage is like Twitter for textbooks!

I heard Marketing, Production, lots of middle management jobs and a few IT. Maybe some one offs here and there. Sounds big, I have already talked to a few people that have given me their goodbyes.
Well, Twitter plans on laying off 75% of its workforce once Musk buys it. I’m seeing a talent influx to Cengage!
Greetings,
Cengage does not target employees. That is something out of the 1940s, and would be re--rd—d. Members of the Cenforce who are not the best and brightest, or have not been fully committed to the cause will be released mercifully to become their own CEO.
Let me be clear, Cengage is leading the EdTech space and activations continue to grow. We have saved students millions of dollars and although revenue is down this will be offset by strategic realignments within our organization.
