Boeing has serious long-term structural problems that are likely unsolvable. For one Airbus is increasing the rate from 65 to 75, 321 a month. More airbus, less Boeing planes will be sold as a result. Boeing has a long ways to go to rebuild it safety reputation with the max. A321 is better.

Boeing thinks there’s a huge market in China but the Chinese are going to manufacture their own jet. Asia was Boeing’s largest customer base.

The fixed price defense contracts are going to be losers for Boeing. MQ-25, T-7, Air Force 1, starliner, tanker are all new programs that Boeing is losing money on and will continue to lose money on.

The company has destroyed itself from mismanagement.

Yup, stock is also going up cause looks like Reps will win congress and grant max extension . Only thing more corrupt than Boeing are the Reps and the Dems not too far behind either.

Stock will still rise because Boeing spends more on paying stock hawks than they spend on engineering and research. Boeing is now just a hollow executive heavy company with little future.

Losses would have been much much larger if not for the fact that the majority of airplanes Boeing has been currently delivering are from the huge inventory they manufactured 3-4 years ago and not during the past quarter. Boeing can't make a profit on any airplanes they now manufacture because their manufacturing cost is much higher than the sales price they are forced to sell them at to generate any sales. Not a sustainable business model...

More d-mb, incompetent, lazy and corrupt people work at Boeing than smart people. Just look at the results. A $3 Billion loss just doesn't happen by magic. It takes a lot of really bad management, bad decision-making and lousy products. The MAX ! , the 787 Defectliner, the KC-46 joke, the 777X and the Starliner piece of junk. Then last week a court rules that the families of the 346 MAX victims are crime victims. Boeing is a really first class operation.

Why 'Ha-Ha'... Boeing has a lot of people working. A lot of smart people. I work for Boeing now. I do not want the company to fail. Boeing will recover - Aerospace is pretty much a duopoly.

Moving faster toward insolvency. This time because of losses with the tanker and development projects.

How many more losses till they can’t fund the debt and ask for a government bailout?
