Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Why Stick it Out ?

Bed Bath is one of the more unfortunate retail stories out there. From iconic to living off oxygen. My reason was being committed to the brand & the culture. Neither exist anymore - both have been damaged beyond repair. Bottom line - when you lose the trust of your customer, your not getting it back. The consumer doesnt have the tolerance. Slowdown, take a look around and realize your worth. Opportunities exist all around you - you can have opportunity, stability, sanity and genuine employer care. Take control of your future, theres no promise from an employer on oxygen.

Boy, Amen. 1cs. I am being asked in another forum why I am so down on this company.

My reply was : try working there.

It needs to go and the current employees need to be free to enjoy a better environment.

And their commitment to abusing their employees. Most of the store management was ok. But the corporate mentality towards mistreating employees destroyed bb and b. The thing is, when a corporation makes a conscious decision to mistreat and neglect it's employees, the employees tell their friends, family, neighbors, church, etc about all that and the general public makes a communal decision to cease shopping at a trash retailer. Problem solved. This horrible company needs to go by bye forever, yesterday. Good riddance to garbage.
