Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Please participate in Tell Dell

If people don’t participate in tell Dell then the management will continue to keep going forward thinking they’re doing a good job.
Give bad ratings as bad as you can give - even if the questions have response choices like; How do like working at Dell?
Wonderful; Fantastic; Like a dream; Better than a bl----b from Margo Robbie

This also puts info on record that can be evidence in a lawsuit.

I think a coordinated, uniform response would work best. Neutral scores on everything, and a comment stating “My peers and I are doing their best under difficult circumstances. The lack of clarity from senior management is unsettling.”

Everyone should boycott Tell Dell survey. Not one person should fill it out. I think that sends a strong message about how we feel

The problem with tell dell is the only person who needs to read it is MD. He is responsible for the decisions we are unhappy with. He’s the boss. He’s not listening.

Someone in my old group gave bashed my boss and he was on the hunt to find out who it was. They can tell who it is.

@ag+1jnzzj4xx - if your direct manager doesn't receive enough responses, they get no results. I suspect that's what happened.

My team has beat up my manager the last few years with no changes. Last yer we just didn't do TD. Still no changes but at least we didn't have to sit through the uncomfortable 30 min review of the results

Tell Dell is a joke and if you bash your manager they will know who you are, nothing in there is really Anonymous, remember that!
We had a manager that was bashed every year for at least 5 years in a row and he continued to be a manager but it was ironic that the people that bashed him the most were all let go.

There is a front line (inside) sales manager in the hopkinton office who got awful tell dell results a couple years ago and then told his team privately he knew who exactly gave him bad scores / commentary. Be careful out there

No only did they do nothing, they specifically spun it as our eNPS being above than the market average even though it dropped almost 20 pts.

They don’t take any action based on the results. It’s a waste of time and money.

Bad result last year and the management didn't even bother to share the scores.

Tell Dell isn't what you think it is. It is a test to see if you provide the expected answers. If you don't, your manager is beat up to try and convince you to do so in the future. That game is best won by not playing.

Tell Dell is about your immediate management. If your immediate management is great then make sure your Tell Dell is great so that the execs and C-level suits can bask if the glow.

They don't listen to tell dell. Everyone is know a fee years ago choose remote when asked on tell dell, how do you prefer to work? They said everyone said hybrid... then started RTO. They don't listen. It's the most pointless thing they have you do every year beside FRS. I think NOT doing it will say more than filling it out. They always gear all the questions towards your direct leaders who also have nothing to do with the choices being made at the top. You won't get to give the correct people feedback about rto because they won't ask you these questions to keep the results rigged. Best to ignore it and show them we dont play your games anymore because you don't listen when we do!

You'll notice that most of the questions are directed toward your manager and not the Executive team. So when you blast Dell on TD, you're only destroying your manager. Basically, the leadership team is going to do what they want to do and it doesn't matter the results of TD. There are worse companies out there. Don't think there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Why even bother filling out the survey? The folks at the top that can maken meaningful changes are obviously illiterate.

We had good participation last year and i assume they got bad results as it was swept under the carpet. Its just a box ticking circus. If they get the results they want they will shout it from the rooftops. If not well... you know the rest.
