Over the past week, middle management in our part of the organization have been pushing “Employee Appreciation Day”…during a round of significant layoffs. How clueless are these leaders? 1. The irony is not lost on anyone. 2. It’s not a real holiday. 3. Wtf. Just when I thought I couldn’t be more ashamed to work here. If you’re going to “trim the fat”, maybe start with the hack in charge of internal comms.
