Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Poor execution, again? Isn't that a failure in Executive Leadership? (aheemmmm Antonio)

How much longer will he be allowed to fail while we pay the price? The board needs to remove him immediately. He allows Sr Execs to reorg and shuffle paper while ignoring what we need to be effective.

As long as Mercedes is doing well in F1, and I can continue to see Antonio in their garage during races, I'll support him. I don't care how many people get laid off, including me, I'll always be proud of HPE and our support of Formula 1. THAT's what really matters.

Nobody is steering the ship. The good ship HPE has been chasing white whales and got lost.

I have to agree with the statement below. There are too many people who have been there since forever just sitting around waiting to retire. I saw plenty of people doing that when I was there, including myself. Working from home made it even easier. I didn't do much for probably 15 years and management never noticed because they were doing the same thing. Sorry but it's true.

What do we need to be effective? Half the company gate keeps from the other half. No one talks. This is what you get.

IMO some people have been here way too long. There's celebrating years served, and then conflating those loyal years with innovation potential. Anyone who has been here x amount should be the first to go. Though perhaps that's the first filter. Loyalty cannot be the only requisite for job security.
