I did as well. The CEO called me to thank me for my service. Thought that was odd they don’t usually talk to us peons.

I know this, they are looking for a certain number of voluntary by April 1, then there is a higher number that they will try to get to with layoffs. It appears that a lot of people are taking it as voluntary, so there might not be any actual layoffs. It actually will save the company Unemployment costs. Whenever someone files for unemployment, it raises the rate for the company. If you take the severance, you cannot file for unemployment.

Last day is May 1st so we will get medical through May. They could be doing the approvals first. I feel bad for anyone who gets a denial.
