Berkeley Unified School District, or BUSD, approved potential layoffs affecting 164 nonteaching positions and approximately 20 full-time equivalent teaching and counselor positions ahead of the upcoming school year. The board also approved work reductions for four other nonteaching positions at their regular meeting Wednesday.
