Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

SRO & 2-Weeks

Does anyone know how likely HR/SRO is to accept and let an employee finish out a notice period?

Looking to leave right after bonuses

Easy, put in your notice and tell them you have two offers from companies that are competitors of Dell but decline to tell them the companies names as you haven't accepted an offer yet. You'll be shut down within hours and out the door.

I wouldn't show up to do it, that's what a team message is for

You should never give 2 weeks notice in the US. Show up and say, buh -bye.

The company wouldn’t give you 2 weeks notice.

If you are in the States then there is no legal requirement to provide 2 weeks notice. Wait until your bonus has cleared the bank and then show up and quit.

DO NOT PROVIDE NOTICE BEFORE THE MONEY IS IN YOUR ACCOUNT.

Don’t take the chance. They aren’t looking to do you any favors.

Ibp wording says to get bonus, must be employed thru payout. Wait for it to hit your banks, then bounce.
