Once JE entered as CMO, she completely wiped out the marketing org and shifted employee titles around that made no sense…I was affected by JE’s marketing workforce reduction, it’s a shame. The team before she joined was sharp, focused, and creative, nowadays it seems pretty boring and stale.

During the layoffs, I was stunned by certain people being let go, it made no sense at all. Sad to see what’s become…

She didn't pretend to be a technical expert. But she did bring something Juniper wasn't doing well before: Enterprise focus as well as Enterprise-focused methodology and tools. And while some if it was a bit shaky, the results in the Enterprise market show it was a win.

She clearly was very single-focused when it came to Enterprise, and maybe the problem was that the Service Provider market was underserved. Heard the only big investments were for Enterprise marketing.

Completely vacuous. Nothing but a steam of inauthentic, corporate marketing robotic nonsense.

Give an honest eval of JE. Did she have a vision or plan, was it the right one, did she enact it, and can any results be measured? She is a good communicator, that I know, but I'm asking for 1st hand impression of whether she was the weathergirl or a meteorologists, so to speak.

She wasn’t fired. Going to CoreWeave. Had it lined up for months and couldn’t put it off any longer. She was never going to be part of HPE. Her farewell e-mail said “goodbyes are always tough.” Wrong. Most in Marketing are thrilled to see her go. She’s one of the d-mbest people I’ve ever met in my career. Bimbo without the usual good part of being a bimbo (the good-looking part). Boy, she was just d-mb. And she had a bit of a mean streak to her. I guess insecure about being an id--t.

Not fired, jumped ship. JNPR lame and 2 CMOs if HPE an ideal face-saving chance to climb out of the hardware hole.

MM jumped ship right after the wave (smart). JE might see what's coming (reorg!) and doesn't want to go through it. 2 years is enough for execs to fail up.

No fear, the exceptional savant, ML, is now going to save us. He's going to apply the same level of leadership and high-quality decision-making he has brought to COO to CMO.

We don't know she was fired. She may have read the situation and jumped up to something better.

Several other so called Directors and Managers need to leave before CK bids adieu . Cloud / SP / Enterprise overlap may not be too focused on technical engineers first but on Management .

If 2500 at HPE that’s acquiring …what’s the number here ever think about that ?

Not replacing her because they know nobody wants the job or the boss. He can do it all!

I disagree. She did bring more enterprise focus and more metrics. Wasn't perfect, and the focus did shift away from core SP audience... but the enterprise growth shows the effort wasn't wasted.

I think her tenure was not in any way a failure. She was polarizing because she changed stuff, and that's what she was hired to do. It was always clear the HPE end goal would not accommodate two CMOs.

I hated the NOW way to network campaign. Could have been much better catch phrase. Juniper marketing has always been bad TBH even with a strong product like Mist
