OP writes "TC" - so we don't know what the base salary is exactly. They add all kinds of comp in that number.

Depends on location.
001 - SJC / NYC make way more than RTP and others.
dev engineering mrr
G10 min base salary is 164k
zone2 mid 211k
zone3 max 255k
10% bonus add ipf
target rsu is 70k / yr, but not all 10 get all year. usually less than half get.
rsu range is 20 to 110k

rtp only 120k-190k. rsu 15k to 60k with 40k as target

No gr8 at $140K, no gr10 at 280k anywhere within MRR. Guaranteed.

I made much less a few years back as very senior grade 11 in the bay area so 280 seems good. … I went 5 years without one and the raise did not even match the annual inflation.

I’m a grade 8, & have been one my whole Cisco career. 280 is more than double my pay in RTP. My first team never gave me a raise. My second team didn’t give me one, but I left the team after only a year. My current team seems to alternate between 4-5% raises & RSUs so I’m fairly happy.

That's more than G12. You'll have to share your secret.

I made much less a few years back as very senior grade 11 in the bay area so 280 seems good. In last few years, Cisco has been cutting down on bonus and stock, especially at grade 10. Stock can be a big portion of one's cisco comp.

As others said, once in Cisco, do not expect annual raises. I went 5 years without one and the raise did not even match the annual inflation. Thus, you do want to start high.

The range isn't that for a 10 in nyc so truth be told (or not in this case).

USA grade 11 here, 280K is more than what I make. So sounds like a good offer for a grade 10 position.

It's only a good offer if it's good compared to other grade 10 offers. It does not matter how it compares to a grade 11 who is employed here for many years.

Depends on location and specific job title. If your in SJC the range will be totally different from RTP. Ranges differ for enginmers in BU versus TAc.

Expect 60% of what is promised in bonuses and no real pay raises for ~3 years.

Maybe it's a normal or maybe it's good for an offer. IDK.

With that salary you will be at the top of your grade band (in the Bay Area). Don't expect high salary raises in the years to come.

280k is good as TC for G10. Remember that the variable pay Bonus and RSUs depend on company and your performance. So not all guaranteed except for the base pay

Cisco comp depends on your location, so it depends where you are
