It's time Microsoft! With the new HR leader, you must take quick action to transform your workforce. The AI battle and competition is fierce, and to stay ahead of the curve you must focus on the core engineering and technical skills required across all functions, yes, including marketing, to stay ahead. Cut the country club friends, employees hash tagging posts with #bestbossever (I immediately lost respect and unlinked them), or coming in the office once whenever, rampant nepotism, old folks resting and vesting, managers who are friends with employees instead of being friendly. Overall, a recipe for stagnation and decline. And from what I see, these are quite real and concerning.

Microsoft isn't cutting US staff based on their performance, they are moving jobs to India. The US needs to start charging a tariff on outsourced employees working for US firms.
