Just saw the news that Allegra SVP of sales and SVP of Sensor and Power are replaced or being replaced. This is in two weeks after the CEO was replaced and offer from us… their revenue is not going to meet the goals?? We are doomed with that sinking ship..

Saw headline this morning March 10. Not sure if this is included with or in addition to the original 2400 person number

"Onsemi to lay off 170 staff in Czech Republic, cutting workforce by 7.5%"

That's right, the layoffs are not yet finished. From the different posts, there are approx. 900 people laid off. So, 1500 people are still waiting for the their future...

Imagine typing "enough complaining about layoffs"... when you're on a website called thelayoff.com.

More than just the folk at Hudson lost their jobs, too. Get your head out of your own a-s.

Work here. They layed off experienced people with 20, 30, 40+ years of experience. Clearly they went after the most expensive employees who made the most money without regard to experience level. Some people were the only ones who knew the job and now there's open gaps with no one trained to take their place. It's also very sad that the affected employees who had worked there for decades were told to immediately hand in their laptops, given a box and told they had 15 minutes to clear out their cubes and leave the premises.

You aren't that bright or have d-mb reasons if you didn't start looking for a new job last June, when they had a round of layoffs. Writing was on the wall. It's still up there. Open your eyes and read it.

Hadn't heard Allegro rejected the offer! I was hoping they would, for their own sake!

onsemi leadership is putting on an absolute masterclass on how to NOT handle mass layoffs:

✅ Vaguely announce layoffs during an earnings call, sending 30k employees into a panic
✅ Hold an All-Hands Q&A while providing ZERO actual answers even though execs had a good idea of their plans
✅ Spend money flying top execs to NYC to ring the opening bell at NASDAQ then when the market closes announce 2,400 employees are being let go
✅ Fire 2,400 people to protect operating margin at all costs. Keep list of affected employees secret.
✅ Tell remaining employees to work hard and not worry about the possibility of more layoffs in 2025
✅ Hold private team meetings and deny rumors of a proposed Allegro acquisition as "pure speculation"
✅ Publish press release confirming intentions to spend nearly $7 billion on Allegro acquisition after telling employees you can't afford them all.
✅ Watch the company morale TANK and then blame other employees.

Hassane and the rest of onsemi leadership are an embarrassment. If you didn't get laid off, start looking for a new job just this company is a joke.
