Can someone in the corporate office explain to me why they are hiring so many positions ? I have a recruiter always reaching out to me to see if im interested in a position

Must be in tech, the number of open positions just went down by like 15-20 seemingly overnight.
Maybe it’s department/budget dependent? I was told we have a freeze on Monday and no longer going through hiring a candidate.

Not sure if they will be taken down soon, we just froze all open positions and rescinded offers. Currently in another hiring freeze.
From a corporate standpoint I’m seeing 4 openings in strategy, 7 in HR, 9 in finance, 12 for technology, 27 in marketing, and 32 in digital. That’s pretty on par with what is normally out there, with tech openings being low. Perhaps that recruiter thinks you have a strong background and is pushing for you.
They pretty much aren’t. They do a lot of moves within the company and promote people. Most of the time these open positions stay open bc the intent is to not actually fill them and it’s an alternative to laying people off. Recruiters are a joke. They just je-k everyone around.
