Teradata annually holds a 'Winners Circle' celebration to recognize top performers, but this year, we didn’t bring in any new customers. Despite that, they’re still hosting a big event in Rome, Italy. Who exactly are they celebrating, and what’s the justification for this trip?"

It's fantastic to hear that JW's hairdresser got a spot. She really has done the hard yards this year
The criteria for Winners Circle is "in recognition of excellent performance...... we honor and reward outstanding accomplishments within our quota-carrying roles and the exceptional talents spread throughout our organization. Each of these participants exceeded goals, relentlessly advocated for customers, and exemplified our Core Principles". Sad that you feel that the above is celebrating "brown nosers". BTW - the AE did not threaten to leave.
So, after the first week in March, Teradata quit paying their suppliers because of a "cash flow" problem. Payments only started up again April 1. Suppliers were yelling about not getting paid. Yet we are sending almost 50 people to Rome. The entire LT and Board should be removed immediately. Between all of them, there is not enough brain power to run a company. It truly is very sad.
Anyone who can sell their quota of Teradata “products” to gullible companies should be made CEO.
They are celebrating the fact that they've made it this far.
Teradata... RIP
I know of one AE who didn't even reach quota but threatened to leave if she didn't go. So her manager caved and got her a spot. Now it's just an event where the top brown nosers are celebrated.
The justification is so the E”L”T gets a trip to Rome where they can praise each other for their incredible managerial abilities and sightsee with their families. And it’s deductible for the company!
What tone-deaf id--ts.
